Welcome to the Heavy Spoilers show, I’m your host Deffinition and this episode we’re going to be giving a full breakdown of the newly released Birds Of Prey Trailer that was just released today by Warner Brothers.
Throughout this video I’m gonna be breaking down everything that you need to know about the first look and how it line-ups with the leaks that we’ve had on the film over the past month.
Because of this there will be some spoilers so if you don’t want anything about the film potentially ruined for you then I highly suggest that you turn off now.
With that out the way I just wanna give a huge thank you for clicking this video, now let’s get into our breakdown of the Birds Of Prey Trailer.
Birds Of Prey Trailer – My Thoughts
And that’s the trailer, honestly at the moment I’m very very cautious about this film, it really could go one of two ways so I’m going in with tempered expectation over this emancipation. Tonally this really seems a bit all over the place and more inline with the suicide squad, that whilst I enjoyed, didn’t really feel like a good direction for DC to be taking their universe in. Now they have seemed to take steps towards other properties and ideas with Joker coming out this friday and it seems like they are really struggling to decide what way is best to take their properties into.
This is also getting a february release which is where most movies go to die so it seems a bit like DC don’t really have that much confidence in the overall piece.
Now it may still be good but I really hope that 2020 is the year that DC kinda decide to streamline their universe a bit more. I used to absolutely love Harley Quinn and even have a tattoo of her but over the last couple of years my interest has slowly waned in her with the constant updates that I personally feel are too far removed from the Paul Dini version that I fell in love with. This could be a good film and I hope it’s not the one to break the streak that DC are on at the moment, I just don’t know, something about this seems a little off but maybe it’s not for me. Warner Bros are clearly going after a female audience with this and hey if girls find it empowering then who am I to say that it’s not right, it’s just if that is the case and it’s not for me then I’ve think my opinion so far is kind of justified on it.
Who knows, it may be great and I guess we will see in February.
