BOOK OF BOBA FETT Finale Predictions: Han Solo Returns, Kylo Ren Introduction, Mace Saves Grogu, Qi’Ra, Rancor And Cad Bane

Welcome to the Heavy Spoilers show I’m your host Paul aka the guy who’s a bit like Boba Fett because I’m the most forgettable thing about my own show.

Having that.

With the finale right around the corner, I thought I’d blue milk this thing one last time and go over all the theories and predictions that I have for the finale.

If you enjoy the video then please hit the thumbs up button and also don’t forget to subscribe for videos like this every day.

With that out the way, thank you for clicking this, now let’s get into The Book Of Boba Fett.

Mace Windu saves Grogu

Ok so In the latest episode of the show we saw a harrowing flashback to Order 66 which has been explored from different perspectives across the current Star Wars canon.

In it, we watched three Jedi attempt to protect Grogu but curiously we are yet to see him be saved fully. I think that we need a fan favourite to step in and do something and having that happen would break the internet just like Luke did upon his return.

Now though there were a whole host of Jedis at the temple during the ambush I think it would be amazing to see Mace Windu come back.

In one of the coolest scenes in Revenge of the Sith, he went to confront Palpatineonly to suffer from the combo of Star Wars tropes, having his hand cut off before he fell to his apparent death.

Though he was hurtled through the skies of Coruscant, Star Wars has slowly started to establish that this isn’t a death sentence.

Notably, Darth Maul was sliced in two and he fell to his death but fans loved him so much that they brought him back for the expanded lore.

Things like this have been shown in Palpatine, Ahsoka and the only person who hasn’t come back is Mace Windu.

Until…now…possibly…might be wrong…might be a wrong fan theory but bear with us.

Now Samuel L Jackon’s stock in Hollywood has only risen since Revenge of The Sith and though he was popular beforehand he’s consistently stayed a big name. Since he last appeared as Windu both the Marvel and Star Wars franchises have been bought by Disney meaning you know like corporate synergy or something.

During the Star Wars Celebration in 2017 the actor said: “We all know Jedi can fall from incredible heights and survive, so apparently, I am not dead. Yes, I have two appendages right now, but we know the long and rich history of Star Wars characters reappearing with new appendages”.

Since 2017 Jackson has doubled down on this further by saying he wants to return.

It’s a pretty safe bet that a Jedi was the one who saved Grogu from the temple but he has forgotten due to the trauma of the events.

I would love to see Windu save Grogu and though I don’t think he necessarily made it out of Coruscant, seeing him go out in a blaze of glory would be an awesome send-off for the character.

Is Cobb Vanth still alive?

Now in Episode 6, we opened with The Marshall, Cobb Vanth…Vanth refrigeration.

At the end, we saw him be shot by Cad Bane and though it initially seemed like he was dead, I do think that he’s alive. If you watch the scene Bane looks to have shot him in the shoulder and the Freetown folk come out and shout for a medic.

Cad Bane is far too good of a shot to simply just keep him alive accidentally and I think that this is an intimidation tactic.

This was too mirrored in Cobb himself who at the start of the episode was happy leaving one of the Pykes alive as it would send a message.

Cad killed the deputy and likely left Cobb breathing so that he’d think about it before rallying Freetown together to help Boba.

It would make sense for Vanth to be left alive to tell the tale to Mando, making this a personal bantha beef and setting up a high moon duel between Boba, Mando and Cad bane.

We know that the series cribs highly from westerns and having their showdown follow this manner would keep things in line with that.

Now The question that remains is how long has Cad Bane been working for the Pykes? We explored in our Cad Bane Explainer video that there were unfinished Clone Wars episodes that showed Cad and Boba working together leading to a fall out and duel. It is possible this is canon as in The Bad Batch, Cad Bane had a plate on his head which wasn’t there in the main series.

If Bane had been working for the Pykes for a while, he could have started when their first shipment was threatened and Boba demanded payment.

We know that the Tuskens who took Boba in were killed by a biker gang but that seemed unlikely considering how tough the Tuskens were. It could have been a false flag with Cad pinning the blame on the bikers and this would further tie into their rivalry.

Killing the Tuskans would be a big No-ba Fett and I think that it might be revealed that Bane was the one who slaughtered the women and children.

Qi’Ra and Crimson Dawn

While the show has morphed into Mandalorian Season 2.5 the core of the series has really been about Boba Fett staking his claim as a crime lord.

He has come into direct conflict with The Pyke Syndicate and you may remember from Solo A Star Wars Story. They are making a fortune running Spice on the planet basically dune what they want and it’s clear they’re ready to kill anyone, including Madam Garsa, just to keep the spice flowing.

This could be a prelude to a possible continuation of the ending of Solo and the finale may bring Qi’Ra back.

At the end of Solo, she was asked to bring the First Lightship to Dathomir where she and Maul would closely together.

While a Solo sequel is yet to materialise, this story progressed in the superb Marvel Star Wars comics and went on to control Crimson Dawn.

Now She has come into conflict with Boba before and during the War of the Bounty Hunters storyline, Qi’Ra was the head of Crimson Dawn, having stolen Han Solo in Carbonite from Boba.

During Crimson Reign after the War of the Bounty Hunters Qi-Ra went on an anti-empire tear to destabilise them after being trained by Maul.

Add to this we can also hear some notes from the Crimson Dawn soundtrack in the theme of the show.

You don’t get much more subtle than that and it would be great to see Emilia Clarke reprise her role with her having history with Boba AND the Pykes in it.

In Crimson Reign, she captured a young girl who looks strikingly similar to a slightly older Omega and has a red headband that could be in honour of Hunter. If she is manipulating the Pyke Syndicate from the shadows then using Boba’s ‘Sister’ would be one shocking way to do it and I’d love to see her back.

Why Grogu will choose to go with Mando – doesn’t actually need the training he just needs to remember, Ben is classed as the first student

Now Episode 6 was a gruelling entry that tugged at the heartstrings as Mando decided to leave Grogu to complete his training.
We got a good look at the fundamental differences between The Mandalorians and The Jedi in this episode especially. The former is loyal to the core following their creed whereas The Jedi must leave their past behind and form a connection solely to the force.

Grogu is stuck between both worlds but can only choose one of these two ways of life. Wait hold on, I thought only the Sith deal in absolutes?

Anyway, he was offered either the armour made for him or Yoda’s old lightsabre as a symbol of the path that is ahead of him.

Though it ended the episode on a cliffhanger, if we look at the expanded lore, we can figure out with one that he chose.

In this scene, Luke says ‘If you choose the lightsabre, you will be the first student in my academy.’

However, in the comic Star Wars: The Rise of Kylo Ren Issue 3, Kylo states that he was the first.

If this is kept in continuity it means that Grogu did not choose the Lightsabre. However, Filoni has shown somewhat disregard for the comics as Yoda’s lightsaber was destroyed in them by Darth Vader.

I do think that Grogu will choose to go back with Mando and there was a line that sort of hinted to him not even really needing the training.

Luke states at one point to Ahsoka that he’s not really learning things, he’s just remembering.

Grogu being a Mandalorian Jedi would also fit in very well with the story of Tarre Viszla who was the first of them. While Mando could be that, the choice presented to Grogu is almost an impossible one and I full him to say or gesture Why Not Both. Considering Kylo did say he was the first student, it would indicate that Grogu chose to return to his adopted dad.

This would allow him to ride in the space on the N1 Starfighter but it would also go beyond that.

Mando has been unable to wield the dark saber because he’s clearly distracted by Grogu and thus them being reunited I think will make the weapon lighter for him as he’ll be more focused.

rancor teh book of boba fett star wars

Riding the Rancor

One plot point that has been quietly brewing is the Rancor that was given to Boba by the Hutts. While we didn’t expect him to ride the Rancor right away, this moment is clearly being saved for a final battle.

Training Rancors to ride them is nothing new to Star Wars with The Witches of Dathomir having ridden them which was given lip service by Danny Trejo.

On top oif this he provided some lore about the Rancors and how while they are bred for fighting, they can be quite loving and be incredibly loyal.

This mirrors Boba Fett being a clone. He and his clone brothers were born for battle and that was that. However, over the course of the Star Wars media, we see how the clones actually built personalities and formed tight bonds with each other. When he takes the Rancor and rides it, he has fully become himself, not what others perceive him like a clone or Bounty Hunter but who he has chosen to live as.

Riding the Rancor is also symbolic, showing his dominance and taming a wild beast just like he will need to tame the symbol of the Mythosaur if he’s to take back Mandalore.

Han Solo

Now With Cad Bane and possibly Qi-Ra being blasts from the past for Boba who else could come back?

The most obvious answer would be Han Solo. While the other two have been expanded outside of the main sagas, Boba taking in Han Solo successfully was a huge moment in the original trilogy and this set up their rivalry. If Han somehow returns to Star Wars using the same magic that was used on Mark Hamill’s likeness then it would be something else to see as Harrison Ford is probably the biggest actor to come out of the saga.

I say probably…definitely.

This kinda ties into my next theory which is that Luke, Han and Leia will be united on screen together for one final time.

One thing we never got in the sequel trilogy was the trio reunited and I think it would massively elevate the series if it gave us an image of them back together.

Han and Leia might even bring their young son Ben with them and just in the same way we saw Luke’s academy being built we could also get a tease of it’s downfall if they arrive with the young child.

Lastly, I’d love for the show to pick from one of the big moments in the legends series.

In A Barve Like that we watched as Boba Fett climbed out of the Sarlaac and he went out in the galaxy to get revenge on Han Solo.

Over the series, Han fought Boba and eventually knocked him back into the Sarlaac pit which is where the character died.

Would just be pretty funny to see him wind up back there and probably the biggest troll way for the show to finish.

Anyway that’s the video, had to end on the worst theory we had but I hope you enjoyed the full breakdown.

I do think that Fett will be allowed to remain on Tatooine because it’s better the devil you know and the republic might want someone respectful running the crime syndicates there rather than the Hutts or Pykes.
